The King of Saudi Arabia has donated three thousand seven hundred and seventy four food baskets to displaced victims in Yobe state.
The donations were made through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
KSrelief Representative, Nasser Al-Subeie, who paid courtesies on Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam at Government House Damaturu, said the donation was as a humanitarian gesture to the victims of the insurgency.
Subaie said the King Salman centre is reaching out to 840, 000 Internally Displaced Persons in the Northeast with 70, 000 food baskets over the coming period.
The interventions cut across kukareta, Ngabrawa, Abari YBC and other affected villages within the state.
The beneficiaries appreciated the Saudi Kingdom for the gesture, noting that it would go a long way in reducing their sufferings.
