The Federal Government is set to present the N30,000 new National Minimum Wage proposal to the National Economic Council for further consultations on Thursday.
This was the key resolution of a meeting of the Federal Executive Council, which ended in Abuja on Tuesday night.
Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed, informed State House correspondents after the meeting, that deliberations centered on the minimum wage.
The minister did not give further details aside from saying that the government would meet with NEC for more talks.
The NEC is chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.
