The Senate adjourned plenary on Tuesday over its inability to form a quorum required to proceed with legislative business.
A motion for adjournment was raised by Senator Sola Adeyeye when he called the attention of the Senate President to the low attendance of lawmakers at plenary.
The number of senators present was less than ten and it falls short of the required one third of members needed to form a quorum.
The motion for adjournment was seconded by deputy minority leader Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.
Senate President Bukola Saraki ruled in favour of the motion and adjourned plenary till Wednesday when the senate may be able to form a quorum and continue their legislative business.
