A group of women displaced conflict in Northern Nigeria have devised new ways to earn a living.
They are a small percentage of the more than one million people living in refugee camps after fleeing the Boko Haram rebellion.
Many of the displaced have no money or possessions. They are totally dependent on the government and humanitarian organisations for their survival.
At the Damare camp in Yola, dozens of women have been learning sewing, shampoo making and tailoring to earn an income. These women are eager to launch profit-making businesses in the future.
The scheme was introduced by the National Emergency Management Agency a few months ago.
Aisha Adamu, a mother of seven, was forced to watch the murder of her husband by Boko Haram insurgents in 2013.
