Former Governor of Gombe state, Danjuma Goje appeared in court yesterday over allegations of financial crimes allegedly perpetuated while he was in office.
Goje had been issued a bench warrant by a Federal High Court, in Jos, Plateau State for being absent at the trial on Tuesday .
Danjuma Goje who is now the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, is facing charges of allegedly awarding N1bn contract for the supply of dictionaries to secondary schools when he was governor of the Gombe state.
He is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The case has been adjourned until November the 22nd.
