Five governors (G5) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who are said to be aggrieved over present developments in the party have met in Enugu.
The governors which include Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, met on Sunday in the coal city.
Available report has it that the five governors had in a few days ago boycotted the inauguration of the campaign team of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Abuja.
Governor Wike who is said to be the leader of the group, had called for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, for peace to reign in the party.
