A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, and former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, has called on the Police Commissioner, to arrest persons responsible for the death of a party member in Sagbama.
He led a peaceful protest to police command in Bayelsa, asking the security operatives to ensure the safety of their members even before the elections.
Members of the All Progressives Congress hit the road in protest over the killing of their member in a rally in Sagbama.
Led by former Governor Timipre Sylva and Minister of State For Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri, they marched through the Melford Okilo Road chanting songs of protest all the way to the Bayela Police Command.
Commissioner of Police, Aminu Saleh said investigation into the matter has commenced and its findings will be revealed soon.
The APC also complained about destruction and removal of its billboards in Bayelsa State.
