As the three day nationwide rally of health workers enters its third and last day, the aggrieved workers say a nationwide strike looms in the sector.
The workers are calling for the immediate sack of the health minister and urge Nigerians to resist alleged plot to privatise hospitals.
The workers are also kicking against the continued appointment of medical doctors to head the health ministry; describing it as a deliberate sabotage. They insist hospitals should be manned by administrators.
JOHESU President, Josiah Biobelemoye who led a monitoring team to boost workers morale appealed to well meaning Nigerians to intervene and ensure their demands are met to avoid shut down of the nation’s hospitals.
Josiah Biobelemoye also disputed claims the workers are being used as political tools to dent the image of the Buhari administration.
