No fewer than eight people have been killed and fifteen others sustained varying degrees of injuries after a bomb exploded at Muna garage in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
According to eyewitness, the blast occurred around Muna Garage in Jere local government area of the city this morning Wednesday, October 12.
Similarly, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the blast on its official Twitter handle.
The bomb blast in Jere local government follows attacks by Boko Haram terrorists on a village Kwashebe in the area on Tuesday, October 11 which left at least five people dead.
The military also reported that it killed two Boko Haram terrorists and injured several in another part of the local government on Tuesday as well.
According to a statement by the acting Army public relations officer Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, the army killed the terrorists while on clearance patrol in Ladin Buta and Juwano villages in Jere local government area of the state on Tuesday, October 11.
The army seized sophisticated weapons and ammunition from the terrorists after the gunfight that led to the death of two of the terrorists.
