Leaders and members of the Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have staged a solidarity rally to appreciate the State Government for recalling about nine hundred sacked staff in the councils.
The solidarity rally, which started at the NULGE State Secretariat, near Ilesha Garage area, saw the workers walking along the popular Oyemekun- Adesida Road.
The rally of the workers coincided with the National Conference of NULGE holding in Akure, the state capital.
The workers, who carried various banners and placards of various inscriptions thanked the state government for re-absorbing over 900 local Government workers that were affected by the 2013 screening exercise in the
state.
The workers also appreciated the government for appointing local government workers as supervisors in each of the 18 local government areas of the state.
