The Nigerian Army said it is committed to building infrastructure and the capacity of its men in addition to promoting bonds of friendship to strengthen community relations in the country.
This was the message of the Chief Of Army Staff at the inauguration of projects at the permanent site of the 16 Brigade in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Ovieteme George reports that the permanent site of the 16 Brigade was a virgin land at the ground braking ceremony on the 1st of March, 2017. Now, buildings have been erected including projects already completed.
The 16 Brigade Guide House and Garrison have been inaugurated alongside the Soldiers Club and Brigade Warrant Officers’ And Sergeant Mess.
Other projects inaugurated are the 16 Brigade Magazine House, a Medical Centre and the Brigade Corporal Bellow Quarters.
Top Army Officers also paid a courtesy visit on the Bayelsa Governor.Title: -PKG
