The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has condemned the protest embarked on by some youths in Ibadan calling for the scrapping of the agency.
The protesters, who took the protest to the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi carried several banners and placards with different institutions.
The youths also accused the Yanti-graft agency of carrying out illegal house searches, arrests and extorting suspected criminals.
This development comes days after some youths held a similar protest in Warri, Delta State.
Reacting in a post through its verified Twitter handle, the EFCC said it will not be deterred by the smear campaign, adding that it will continue it’s campaign against all forms of economic and financial crimes
The anti-graft added that it will continue to locate, arrest and investigate anyone causing economic unrest in the country.
