A former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir, is dead.
The Galadiman Kastina died this afternoon at the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina at the age of 90.
Northern Nigeria’s leading socio-political group, the Arewa Consultative Forum said funeral prayer for the Katsina born jurist will to take place by 4pm at Malumfashi, that’s in Katsina state.
Justice Mamman Nasir was born in 1929 and attended Kaduna College where he obtained the West Africa School Certificate in 1947 and later attended the University of Ibadan where he obtained a certificate in Latin.
He was appointed President of the Court of Appeal in 1978, a position he held until he retired in 1992 to ascend the throne of Galadiman Katsina.
