The women’s wing of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State has kicked against the vandalism of billboards of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Jibrilla Bindow.
They said they were shocked that President Buhari billboards could be destroyed while those of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar were erected in strategic areas across the state.
Correspondent Owolabi Adenusi reports that called on the security agents in the state to be more proactive before the situation degenerates to civil unrest.
The leaders of the APC in the state are also worried about the latest political happenings in the state, and called on security agents to arrest perpetrators of the act while urging urging their members to remain law abiding.
Meanwhile, the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has distanced itself from the destruction of the billboards. The party state chairman, Shehu Tahir wants relevant authorities to arrest perpetrators of the act.
Adamawa residents are equally concerned about the developments in the state and say security agents should take charge in order to avoid actions that would likely trigger violence.
