The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, at meeting with AfDB Group team explained that the trans-Saharan optic fiber backbone would ensure effective broadband penetration in the rural areas in Nigeria and across the African continent.
The AFDB’s Senior Consultant, Stephen Krevrer noted that AI, Block Chain, 3D printing, Drones and IoTs, are the five key areas the bank seeks to uncover potential to impact on education, health care, transportation, manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
