The Nigerian Army Female Volleyball Team (NAFVT) has won Bronze Medal for Nigeria at the just concluded 2019 Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 3 Clubs Championship that took place at the Indoor Sports Hall, University of Lagos from the 13th to 19th of April 2019.
The female category of the championship featured 11 teams from various African countries that make up the CAVB Zone 3. The NAFVT having emerged 4th Position at the 2018 National Volleyball Premier League, was among the teams that represented Nigeria at the 2019 CAVB Clubs Championship.
At the end of the week-long competition, the NAFVT emerged 3rd Position to merit the championship’s Bronze Medal. Additionally, Lance Corporal Ijeoma Ukpabi of the Nigerian Army team won the Championship’s Best Spiker Award.
