The Nigeria Air force has promised to continue extending a hand of friendship to civilian communities surrounding their bases through the execution of corporate social responsibility projects.
Commander of the 119 Composite Group of the Nigerian Air force Sokoto, Group Captain Muhammad Adamu Garba made the pledge during a medical outreach to Modurawa community, a suburb of Sokoto
The medical outreach was part of activities lined up to mark the NAF day scheduled to hold from April 27 to April 29.
Garba expressed delight for being part of the medical services in the community.
He said that the exercise was part of Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar’s efforts toward enhancing community relations through providing humanitarian services.
He also commended Abubakar for uplifting 119 forward operation base Sokoto to composite group for enhanced services.
The free treatment is targeted at the vulnerable and less privileged members of the society with more than five thousand beneficiaries.
The young and the aged with all kinds of ailments were treated.
The Nigerian Air force also promised to extend this gesture to other communities in the caliphate.
