The new Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa, Uche Anozia is seeking the collaboration of Civil Society groups, religious organizations and leaders of various communities to deal with crime in the state.
He also advised his men to be professional in the discharge of their duties.
Ovieteme George reports that two days after taking over from Sholla David, now promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General OF Police, Uche Anozia assumed duty as Commissioner.
Anozia’s first task was to interact with officers and men of the Bayelsa COmmand before addressing journalists.
Intelligence gathering and community policing are methods the new Police Commissioner is willing to adopt to deal with crime in the state.
Police Commissioner Uche Anozia is also seeking the support of the media for effective dissemination of information to the police.
