TVC N. Lawyers and public affairs analyst Tony Dania has said the Department of State Services (DSS) should file charges on more judges and some identified Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) who allegedly aided and abetted corruption on the Bench.
Featuring on TVC’s ThisMorning program, Dania went further to say Nigerians are fond of cutting corners. ”In Nigeria we cut corners, the rule of law in Nigeria has been messed up and cannot be compared to other nations, you can arrest a judge if an action amounts to security threat in the country.”
He also stated that, the National Judicial Council (NJC) cannot arrest and persecute instead refer for persecution, so some of the judges recently sacked or retired by the National Judicial Council (NJC) for gross misconduct will also have their date in court’.
