The Nigerian pair of Godwin Olofua and Anuoluwapo Opeyori have qualified to represent Africa in the men’s doubles event of the World Badminton Championship coming up in Basel Switzerland.
Olofua and Opeyori won the right to represent Africa at the World Championship based on their ranking in the men’s doubles category.
The African men’s number one doubles pair joins a continental contingent of eight players who will play for Africa against the rest of the world in Switzerland in August.
Mauritius will produced African men and women’s singles representatives, while the women’s doubles and mixed doubles are from Egypt.
