The six suspended members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have been welcomed back to the 5th Assembly.
Welcoming the members after six months of being away from the floor of the House, speaker Ibrahim Balarabe appealed to all to let bygones be bygones and to always remember that the interest of the state supersedes any personal interest.
Balarabe also disclosed that the suspended members were rejoining the house after meeting all the conditions set out in the resolution.
The members were suspended in April 2016 for addressing a press conference, accusing the Assembly of collecting a bribe from Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura to swear in sole administrators in the local governments instead of conducting fresh elections.
