Minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige has appointed Austin Enajemo-Isire as the new chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) shortly after inaugurating the new board at the banquet hall of the Presidential villa in Abuja, today.

The presidency had said on Sunday that Mr Ngige had the backing of President Muhammadu Buhari on all actions taken concerning the NSITF.

There had been controversy over the inauguration of the board after Ngige postponed its inauguration last month.
President Buhari has redeployed former unionist, Frank Kokori, to head the board of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.
