The Supreme Court has thrown out an application filed by the government of Cross River State challenging the Suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen by the president
In a judgment, the court held that the government of Cross River State does not have the right to institute the case.
Justice Paul Jalinje who read the lead judgment held that the Federal Government does not have a dispute with Cross River state.
She held that Justice Onnoghen who is a Judicial officer ought to have had his matter handled by the NJC first, before going to the tribunal.
