TVC N. President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PNDF, an amalgamation of monarchs, leaders, groups and stakeholders of the oil rich region has rescheuled his meeting initially slated forOctober 29.
President Muhammadu Buhari will now meet with leaders of the Niger Delta region onOctober 31 because the first date was Saturday.
The change in date was confirmed by both the leader of PNDF, former Federal Commissioner for Information, Chief Edwin Clark and Secretary of the Central Working Committee of PNDF, Mr. Ledum Mitee.
However, the Minister of State Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, who conveyed the first date of the meeting to PNDF, told journalists on Saturday that the date was changed because it was on Saturday.
“It was actually a suggestion that the meeting could hold about that date, but having found out that 29 is a Saturday, you know it is not possible to drag the President for such a meeting on that day, the better day is Monday, October 31, so that is date,” he said.
