The Independent National Electoral Commission said it will recognise candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, as winners in the governorship, national assembly and state assembly elections in Zamfara State.
INEC said this is in compliance with the ruling of the supreme court, voiding all ballots cast for the All progressives congress at the polls.
The National working committee of the All Progressives Congress had an emergency meeting after the judgment of the Supreme court, where it was learnt the party is still; weighing all its options.
Chairman of the electoral commission announced the name of the new governor-elect and his deputy and also the names of the three elected senators, seven house of Representatives members and twenty four House of Assembly members.
