Southeast governors have been challenged to ensure airport infrastructure upgrade at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. This comes amidst worries of the Federal Government’s plans to degrade the airport.
It was a gathering of the creme de la creme at the government house Enugu to celebrate with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on his second term in office.
The Anglican Archbishop of Enugu diocese charged public officer holders to be selfless in service.
The archbishop asked governors of the south eastern states to work towards the sustenance of the International status of Akanu Ibiam airport. The Bishop also charged President Muhamadu Buhari to tackle insecurity in the country.
Others are of the opinion that President Buhari needs to deploy more resources to keep the country united.
