The Ondo state resident electoral commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Olusegun Agbaje has vowed to drag the factional Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Jimoh Ibrahim to court over allegation of bribery levelled against him.
Agbaje made the vow at a meeting with religious leaders in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Ibrahim at a press conference in Abuja had accused Agbaje of arranging a banker to meet with him in London to negotiate on his behalf.
But the Ondo state Resident Electoral Commissioner described the allegation as a blatant lie.
He said he had contacted INEC headquarters about his intention to sue Ibrahim for defamation of character.
Agbaje added that Ibrahim is out to blackmail and dent his image.
The INEC boss also threatened to sue the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abayomi Adesanya for the same offence.
