Bamidele Oleyelogun has been re-elected Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly and Iroju Ogundeji as Deputy Speaker
It was a smooth one for Bamidele Oleyelogun,who is representing Ifedore constituency.
The re-election marked the end of the eighth Ondo State House of Assembly, which was characterised by impeachment and reinstatement plots.
The eighth assembly ended with the passage of forty bills, which were mostly executive bills.
The dissolution of the house was followed by the inaugural sitting of the new Assembly.
Bamidele Oloyelogun was re-elected as Speaker, alongside his Deputy, Iroju
The duo emerged unopposed at the sitting, attended by all the twenty-six elected lawmakers.
For some of the lawmakers, it is time to hit the ground running, towards surpassing the achievements recorded by the eighth assembly.
The ninth Assembly is a mixture of old and new lawmakers. Seven out of the twenty-six members returned.
