Nigeria’s Falconets will take on Nigeria Women League side Confluence Queens of Kogi State in a friendly game in Lokoja on Wednesday.
The friendly game is being put together as part of the Falconets preparations ahead of next month’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
Falconets had over the weekend defeated Abees Golden Academy, a male football side 4-3 in a friendly match at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja.
Speaking on the choice of playing Confluence Queens, Falconets coach Peter Dedevbo said his technical crew, after much consideration, picked Confluence Queens because of the club’s proximity to Abuja, while stressing the importance of the friendly.
The Falconets, finalists at the 2014 U-20 World Cup in Canada, are in Group B of this year’s edition alongside Spain, Canada and Japan.
