The 6th House of Assembly of Ekiti State has held its inaugural plenary in Ado Ekiti following a proclamation read in the hallowed chamber by Governor Kayode Fayemi with all the 26 members present.
The House then went into the business of the day on its order paper, the election of the Speaker and his deputy.
In his inaugural speech, Funminiyi Afuye pledged to uphold his oath of office and rally his colleagues to work in tandem with Governor Fayemi in
the overall interest of the state.
The Governor’s address enjoined the lawmakers to make the Ekiti project their watchword.
