Security was one of the main talking points at the inaugural meeting of the Nigeria Governors Forum after the general election.
Governors resolved to set up a security committee at the national economic council level as part of efforts to address insecurity.
It was the first meeting that the governor of Ekiti state , Kayode Fayemi presided as the new chairman of the Governors Forum since he was unanimously chosen to lead the pack of governors.
It is widely believed the governors will also discuss issues of mutual cooperation among them.
More than 20 state governors were in attendance.
