Armed bandits have struck again in Kauran Namoda local government area by abducting the district head of Yankaba town and his three wives and son.
The chairman of Kauran Namoda Local Government Area, Hon. Lawali Isah, yesterday confirmed that armed bandits struck in the the early hours of Friday.
”The bandits surrounded the town, they went straight to the district head palace where they abducted him and his three wives and his son.
”A councillor representing the town had narrowly escape the scene.
“After they abducted the district head and his family, they went to the house of the councillor who is representing the area, they tried to break his gate to get access to the main entrance, but could not and later took to their heels”.
He lamented that during the operation in the town, one Sidi Abubakar was killed and three other persons were kidnapped apart from district head family.
“I want to tell you that,people of Yankaba are now leaving in fear of attack,because when their district head was abducted that means his subjects could not be spared”.
The council chairman urged communities in his local government area to continue praying for peace to reign in their respective towns,villages,state and country at large.
