The presidential amnesty program is set to empower 2,500 Niger Delta youths.
The youths will be empowered through industrial fishing and associated seafood production.
The program, geared towards contributing to an architecture that places emphasis on economic and sustainable development in the region, will take off through a joint venture with a group of local and international partners.
The federal government is optimistic that the project will take a sizeable number of militants and agitators off crime, as well as boost economic development.
