The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has re-appointed the Chief Press Secretary to Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
The announcement of his re-appointment was made in a Press Release by the Ekiti State Head of Service, Bamidele Agbede, and the appointment takes immediate effect.
The CPS, Yinka Oyebode, in his first assignment announced that the Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has frozen all accounts of the State Government with immediate effect.
All accounting officers within the State’s ministries, Departments and Agencies and financial institutions where the State government’s accounts are domiciled are urged to comply with the governor’s directive.
[The Governor of has also appointed Dr Habibat Omolara Adubiaro as the new Secretary to the State Government.
Her appointment also takes immediate effect.
The Newly Sworn in Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, took his oath of office on Sunday morning at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He took his oath of office from the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Oyewole Adyeye, immediately after that of his deputy, Mrs Cristiana Monisade Afuye.
In his inauguration Speech, the governor promised to hit the ground running and continue to push Ekiti State, its people and government on the path of development.
He disclosed that his agenda will be anchored on the 6 points which he listed as Good Governance, Youth Empowerment and Employment Generation, Infrastructure and Industrialisation, Agriculture and Rural Development, Arts, Culture and Tourism and Human Capital Development.
The appointment of the new Secretary to the State Government may be an indication that the governor is serious about hitting the ground running and ensuring that the gains made by Ekiti State under the administration of Dr Kayode Fayemi as Governor is built upon.
His inauguration as governor was witnessed by the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among Other top members of the All Progressives Congress, including former governors and the Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki.
