All is now set for the confirmation of Tanko Muhammad as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.
In a letter read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the Senate at Thursday’s plenary, President Muhammadu Buhari requested the Approval of Justice Tanko Muhammad as the Substantive CJN
The request follows the recommendation made by National Judicial Council on Wednesday, that the acting CJN be confirmed.
Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad has been acting as the CJN since January 25th following the suspension of the former CJN , Walter Onnoghen.
President Muhammadu Buhari also requested the approval of the senate to appoint 15 special advisers
