The Nigerian Senate has threatened to suspend future sitting, if elections are not held by INEC on or before December the 10th this year, to fill vacant Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats in Rivers state.
This followed a motion by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu on the electoral body’s disobedience of earlier resolutions of the upper chamber in September, urging it to urgently conduct all inconclusive elections in Nigeria.
The Senate also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately fill the empty ministerial position in Kogi state.
