Hundreds of inmates have staged a riot at Cameroon’s central prison in Yaoundé to demand better conditions.
The rebellion by the mainly Anglo-phone prisoners was captured on Facebook Live.
The revolt has created new fervour amongst the Anglo-phone population in Cameroon, as the government continues to grapple with the Anglo-phone crisis in the north and south west regions.
Some of the prisoners have been in jail for two years without a court hearing.
They want the government to release them.
