The African Development Bank is positive economic potentials of Nigeria and the Democratic republic of Congo will hold great growth opportunities.
The bank made this known at a business meeting with officials from the DRC in Abuja.
The Afdb feels the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement makes improved trade amongst African nations necessary.
It says the DRC’s imports and exports are mostly needed in Nigeria and this explains why the two counties need to strengthen trade Ties.
Nigerian traders are not having it easy in Ghana at the moment as their shops are frequently closed down.
They have described this as due to the country’s disregard of the ECOWAS free trade treaty.
The DRC officials assure Nigerians, their country is open to their investments for strengthened trade ties between the two economies.
There are also concerns here on how the country’s youths could be made to stay back on the continent to live more productive lives and contribute to economic development.
The African Development Bank, has so far invested over six point one billion dollars in infrastructure projects in the continent.
One point four billion dollars of this amount was spent between twenty thirteen and twenty nineteen.
