Unidentified gunmen have killed an Inspector of Police attached to Isua Divisional Police Office in Akoko south East local government area of Ondo state
The police officer was killed in the early hours of Monday
Another police Sergeant who accompanied the police inspector narrowly escaped death.
TVC News correspondent, Ayodeji Moradeyo gathered that the gunmen ambushed the policemen along Ise-Akoko -Isua road, border towns of Kogi and Edo states.

They were on an official assignment when the gunmen struck.
Police spokesperson, Femi Joseph confirmed the incident, saying the police have launched a manhunt for the killers
