Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari says the country is committed to rehabilitating Nigeria’s refineries to produce at optimum capacity.
Mr. Kyari, speaking at the 2019 Society of Petroleum Engineers Conference in Lagos, restated his commitment to see that importation of fuel stops by 2023.
In his words;
“We are going to rehabilitate our refineries to make them functional to oeperate at least at 90% capacity.
“Others who have such initiatives to put in place new refineries will be supported by providing them with all the necessary government support that they need to make sure that these refineries come on”
.
“Lastly when they produce, we will be there to take the products from them”
