Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun has presented cheques to more than two hundred beneficiaries of Fadama III graduates unemployed youth schemes in the state and directed that they should be accommodated into the Central Bank’s supported Anchor Borrowers Programme.
Creation of jobs through Agriculture remains a strategic tool of the present administration in Ogun State and the Governor has assured residents
that aside from boosting the local economy, it will reduce importation of food items in the state.
While congratulating the beneficiaries, the Governor, Dapo Abiodun advised them to make good use of the opportunity. He assured them of the commitment of the state Government in ensuring that the state takes a leadership position in Agric business in Nigeria.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the state and the federal government for their supports through the scheme. They promised to be good ambassadors of the state.
The representative of the National Project Coordinator, Fadama III, Adeyemi Adeleke said the scheme can assist in poverty eradication, food production and boost local economy.
The beneficiaries also presented some of the their finished goods to the Governor and his team.
