Independent petroleum marketers operating in the country want the Nigerian National petroleum corporation NNPC to initiate proper allocation of petroleum products to their storage facilities.
They believe this will help ease the challenges faced with regards to distribution and movement of products across the country.
Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria is a body of operators and business men in the down stream sector of the country’s oil and gas sector.
The rivalry between the association’s national faction has crippled the importation and distribution of petroleum products across the country, considering that the body controls 80 percent of the fuel distribution network.
The meeting and inauguration has put an end to the crisis that has rocked the association – and now the leaders are ready to work as one.
With the successful outcome of the important meeting, the marketers are set to present a common front that would drive government policies and ensure smooth distribution of petroleum products across the nooks and crannies of the country.
