Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has launched a social security women empowerment programme, tagged Oko’wo Dapo, to assist small business owners in the state.
The state government also Inaugurated a Tech Hub, designed to boost information technology business in the state.
As an administration that believes in collective development and good welfare of system, Ogun State government launched a social security empowerment programme for women in the state.
With a target of 100,000 thousand beneficiaries in four years, 2000 women benefitted from the first phase of the project.
Speaking about the project, the Governor, Dapo Abiodun said Oko’Owo Dapo is a non interest soft loan of N10,000 per person, urging beneficiaries to manage it well, in order for them to qualify for bigger amount.
The Governor also Inaugurated a Tech Hub for youth and those who are in the business of information communication technology in the state.
The Governor said the Tech Hub was set up to support individuals and organisations to apply innovation and technology in solving commercial and social problems.
