A Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa, Preye Aganaba, has asked a High Court sitting in Yenagoa to void the primary election purported to have held in Bayelsa on the 4th of September.
The politician is in court to seek justice over what he calls an illegal and unconstitutional declaration of winner in an election that was never conducted.
Preye Aganaba was one of the six Governorship aspirants who got a clean bill of health from the National Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress.
However, the declaration of David Lyon as winner of the APC Direct Primary has been rejected by Preye Aganaba who has approached a High Court in
Yenagoa to void the exercise.
The Odi politician wants his political party to learn from the loss in two states.
Preye Aganaba also asked the court to restrain the APC from presenting David Lyon as its Governorship candidate. He also seeks an order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission from publishing or listing anyone.
