President Muhammadu Buhari has transmitted the 2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) to the Senate.
In the letter addressed to the President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan, President Buhari said the 2020/2022 MTEF and FSP was prepared taking into account key developments in the global and domestic environment.
He added that he is trusting that it will be considered and approved by the Senate in good time as the Fiscal document forms the basis on which the budget will be predicated.

The senate awaits the submission of the 2020 appropriation bill as it projects that it will be optimally dealt with by December this year.
