The Reforms are consequent of recommendations of a committee set up on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari to address unprofessional conduct of broadcast stations, particularly during elections.
The approved reforms provide that the NBC acts independently in exercising its regulatory powers with no political interference.
The committee is expected to submit its report within six weeks.
