Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has opened the first ever Ekiti Entrepreneurship week aimed at reigniting the spirit of self employment among young people.
Mr. Fayemi said that his administration will provide an enabling environment for the people to thrive in their diverse businesses.
TVC News Correspondent, Akin Ogunmola reports that about two thousand young entrepreneurs, most of them seated here will be supported by the Fayemi administration through this entrepreneurship initiative to expand their business frontiers.
Governor Fayemi told the participants that the programme was in the spirit of his administration’s knowledge economy.
Also addressing the participants, the Ekiti First Lady Bisi Fayemi who is the Chairperson of the ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK Steering Committee, said that a good number among them would be empowered by the Bank of Industry while revolving loans would be provided for local artisans in pot making, mat weaving and the like.
The First Lady later went round the exhibition stands to see the made in Ekiti products on display.
