Chief of Air Staff , Sadique Abubakar has appealed to the Senate Committee on Airforce to consider its Budget proposal to guarantee a solid and reliable Airforce.
While soliciting for more funds to enable them carry out their duties efficiently and effectively, the Air Chief reeled out the Achievements of the Force and why they are deserving of a raise.
Also, the Air Chief called for more support from the committee to deliver its obligations in protecting the lives and properties of all Nigerians.
Federal Audit service bill: Senate Appeals to President Buhari for Assent
Meanwhile, Senate Committee on Public Accounts has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to assent to the Federal Audit service bill to guard against corrupt practices in public offices.
The bill which was passed by the 8th Senate is yet to be given Assent by the President.
The Audit Service Bill seeks to empower the nation’s Auditor-General to hold accountable and penalize any government agency or official who fails to submit their financial statements for audit.
Chairman of the Committee reassures that the 9th senate will review the bill for further legislative action.
He added that a presentation will be made to the leadership of the National assembly to increase the budget of the auditor general of the federation to enable it function optimally.
