World football governing body, FIFA says it will take up the wages of injured Nigerian Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho as his current club begins a search for a new goalkeeper.
Uzoho suffered a knee ligament injury while on international duty for Nigeria during the friendly match against Brazil in Singapore.
FIFA says it will pay Uzoho’s salaries during the period he will be out of action.
This is in line with FIFA’s compensation scheme to clubs whose players get injured during the international break.
