In order to promote girl child education in Niger state Stakeholders are establishing safe spaces for adolescent girls in secondary schools where they can find direct mentorship platforms.
The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment project is aimed at reaching 159,332 girls across 165 schools in Niger state but the number of girls that are out of school are even much more.
The challenges that keep some of these girls out of school still confront the other girls in school.
The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment project is working on creating safe spaces where these issues can be treated in confidence.
They will also be coached on goal setting, developing healthy self esteem, healthy dieting Reproductive health, Pregnancy and abstinence.
Educating girls can help create a more stable, sustainable community.
